It is on this strength that the people of the Area under the aegis of The Association of Home Based Politicians, Ikono/Ini Chapter resort to take their supplications to God in Prayers with the theme " God's Positive Intervention in Ikono/Ini federal Constituency Affairs come 2019"
A prayer session which lasted for over 5 hours had it Gospel reading Exacted from the book of 2 chronicles 7:14" if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will heal their land".
It was also noted that the people of the Area unanimously passed a vote of Confidence on the State Governor, His Excellency, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, with a motion moved by Prince Nsisong Ubong Ntuk, A foremost Super young Leader in the Area.
A vote of confidence was also passed on the Senate Minority Leader, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio and the State Chairman of the people's Democratic Party, Obong Paul Ekpo.
A vote of No Confidence was passed on the member Representing Ikono/Ini federal Constituency in the federal house of Representatives, Hon. Iboro Ekanem for Ineffective Representation, Greed and for sleeping on duty.
It was on this premise that the people of area resolved to change the bad captain " Hon. Iboro Ekanem".
A vote of confidence was passed on Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo, A giant political guru in the Area, for his landmark Achievement in the Area of human Empowerment, it was also noted that Macaire had in the last two years donated over 200 cars to the people of the Area and had empowered over 600 youths through skill Acquisition programs.
It is on this note that the people of the Area considers him most qualify and resort to leading a delegation to him to request that he contest for the vacant office.
