NUJ Condoles Onofiok Luke over Mother In-law Demise By Ekemini Simon

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council has commiserated with the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Onofiok Luke over the demise of his mother In-law, Late Deacon Cicilia Udoakpan.

The condolence was given when the State Working Committee of NUJ paid the bereaved family a condolence visit today.

In his message of Condolence, the Chairman of NUJ, Elder Patrick Albert sympathized with the family over their loss.
He noted that the Late Deacon must have been a good mother who ensured she trained the family well, thus the reason the Speaker have been privileged to marry a wife he cherishes.
Albert who prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss urged them to be comforted by the resurrection hope.
In response, the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Onofiok Luke thanked NUJ for always having him at heart.
He noted that his family treasure the visit with a feeling of consolation that there are people who care about him even in his sad moments.
He asked the NUJ family to continue praying for him and his family to gain lasting comfort over the loss.
The burial for late Deacon Cecilia Udoakpan is slated for Friday 29th September 2017.
