SANITATION IN ABAK, A LEGACY HON. BARR EMMA UDOSEN INITIATED

Service to humanity is gold, so asserts a popular axiom. This basis was the compass that led the smooth navigation through terrain of a great leader Hon. Barr Emma Udosen when he assumed office with the task to lead the good people of Abak as the Transition chairman.

On assumption of office, he needed no external motivator to trigger his inbuilt Dexterity and commitment to better the lives of his  people, and his readiness to lead the light. This was seen when he employed strategic modules at getting Abak safe, secured and clean.

He initiated the monthly sanitation exercise with the theme "OPERATION KEEP ABAK CLEAN and that was flagged off by the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom state Mr. Moses EKPO MFR. The idea was adopted by the state Government and even the federal government.

Going down memory lane, one will believe without doubt that for the first time in the history of Abak where gutters were distilled, thus eliminating incidences of malaria and other environmental issues.

Sequel to the flagoff of the sanitation exercise the Transition boss made repairs the abandoned NDDC  waste disposal van currently in use at the council and a task force was set-up to move around the town to evacuate the waste discharging same at a borough pit bought by the council at Ediene and Ukpom.

It didn't not just end there. Still under his leadership as the Transition chairman, cellophane portable bins were provided allOver the town for refuse disposal and a committee was set up to pick up the bins regularly from houses and shops. It may interest you to note that during the transitional leadership of Dr. Udosen, hands were hired to trim the grasses along Abak Ikot Ekpene Dual carriage road spanning from Abak to Essien Udim boundary. This happens to be the longest stretch of road managed by any local government. Sidewalks of this same roads were regularly swept and kept clean on daily basis Abak experienced sanity and other tonnes of ground breaking achievements courtesy of Dr Emma Udosen. The highest of it all was the peace and serenity established in Abak which before his emergence became a safe harbor for pepertrators of mischievous acts.

Words will not suffice to form an approximate conception of who this figure is but if asked to introduce him, I'd say 'Udosen is a man that has the interest of his people at heart. A man with the heart of service to humanity "

There is no limitation to the aspiration of a mogul who has the best interest of his people first at heart.
