ATI ANNANG FOUNDATION HOSTS 2018 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

All is now set for the 2018 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ati Annang Foundation on Saturday, 17th February, 2018 at the International Secretariat Complex of the Foundation, Library Avenue, in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. 

The annual event features among other activities, induction of high profile personalities within and outside Nigeria, as Associates Members and Award of Excellence to deserving sons and daughters of Annang extraction who have made substantial contributions in humanitarian services within the globe.
The AGM will also feature recognition of certain distinguished individuals or groups who have made sophisticated institutional discoveries and inventions in any human endeavour.

A statement jointly signed by the International President, Rt. Hon. (Sir) Udo Kierian Akpan, the Chairman, AGM Planning Committee, Rt Hon Aniekan Akpan and the International Secretary, Dr Gloria Inyang, and made available to media, indicates that the event, will have in attendance, Annang sons and daughters at home and in the Diaspora, Political leaders, Corporate Titans, Friends and Associate members of the Foundation, Socio-cultural Organizations, and other dignitaries from all works of life as guests. 


Programmes to commemorate the 2018 epochal AGM include the traditional cardinal projects of the Foundation, Award of Scholarships to two hundred (200) deserving students studying in various tertiary institutions across the Country who were successful at the recent aptitude test conducted by the Foundation, Ati Annang Wellness Program, Presentation of Backpacks and Accessories to Five Hundred (500) pupils drawn from forty (40) public primary schools, to support the ongoing free education programme of the State Government, and Award of trophies and prizes to winners of 2018 edition of Ati Annang inter secondary schools’ football Tournament.

Other activities preceding the AGM proper, include facility tour/ inspection of the ongoing project at the International Secretariat by the leadership of the Foundation, a two-week Wellness programme featuring Diabetes, hypertension and Blood Pressure screening exercise, championed by Ati Annang Foundation, Ika Chapter, Finals of the 2018 edition of Ati Annang Inter-School Football Tournament at Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium, second edition of SuperSports “Lets Play” exercise with over 1000 children between the ages of 8 and 14 years. Media chat, featuring high ranking officials of the Foundation & the AGM Planning Committee.

The Foundation which was established over two decades ago has made substantial contributions to the development Akwa Ibom indigenes in areas of educational development, human capacity development, sport development, health as well as the preservation of Annang culture and heritage among many others.

The release invites all Political office holders, Business Leaders, Diplomats, representatives of Multi-National Development Agencies, Royal fathers, Religious Leaders, Corporate Titans, Public  Servants, Civil Society Organizations, Community Based Organization, CBOs, Leaders of thoughts, Socio-Cultural Organizations and indeed the general public to attend the Annual General Meeting.
