Super Eagles captain, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has revealed to SportingLife that the team was able to survive the Equatorial Guinea’s threat in Tuesday’s final Group C game due to their fighting spirit and unity in the team.
Equatorial Guinea shocked Nigeria when Secundino Nsi headed home the first goal for his team in the first before Nigeria came back in the second half to score three goals through Anthony Okpotu, Dayo Ojo and Rabiu Ali at the multi-use Stadium, Agadir, Morocco and top the Group with 7 points.

“I am very happy and I thank God for the victory because it was not easy. We were losing 1-0 in the first half and we came back in the second half to win by 3-1 which is good for the team. We were able to achieve this based on our fighting spirit and unity among the team,” Ezenwa said to SportingLife.
