The Uyo protest will hold today Monday 14th August, 2017 by 10AM.
It will take-off from Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Towns, Abak road, Uyo.
Please note that there will be no "African time".
DRESS CODE:
Intending protesters are advised to wear a black or blue jeans trouser/skirt with a black T-shirt or white T-shirt.
We call on all Indigenes and Residents with conscience to March against this breach of Public Trust, in a peaceful protest.
I can confirm that the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) will be with us live to monitor tomorrow's peaceful protest in Uyo against the decision to construct a second governor's lodge in Lagos.
The Nigeria Police Force has assured us of maximum security.
This struggle is not about me or any individual. It is about the collective interest of Akwa Ibom State. It is about good governance, posterity and accountability.
People have claimed that the protest by Akwa Ibom Conscience is sponsored. That is 100% FALSE. It is a lie from those seeking to keep our people in perpetual slavery. There is no such thing.
