AKWA IBOM COMMUNITY IN LAGOS BACKS CONSTRUCTION OF GOVERNOR'S LODGE

Today, the Lagos based Dakkada Ambassadors hosted other members of the Akwa Ibom Community in Lagos State (AKICOM) to its Awareness and mobilization campaign which held at the Akwa Ibom Liason Office conference room, with theme "Supporting the Government of Industrialization".
The Dakkada Ambassadors, comprising Young Entrepreneurs and Professional who have keyed into the Dakkada Philosophy initiative of the Gov. Udom Emmanuel led administration thanked the Governor for bringing about people oriented and sustainable programmes and projects in the State. They called on all sons and daughters of the state to join in the spreading the message of the Dakkada philosophy which calls on Akwa Ibomites to rise to their faith of greatness and live beyond ethnicity, bias and gender.
In his remarks, the Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Youth matters, Mr. Ani Iwa Udofia said Governor Emmanuel's Works will speak for him come 2019. Udofia admonished the Dakkada Ambassadors and AKISCOM to continue supporting the programmes and policy of this administration.
In his response, the AKISCOM president, Chief Elijah Ifot congratulated the Governor on the various development strides accomplished within his 2 years in office and opined that more of such programmes be initiated to make life meaningful for the masses. Mr. Ifot , specially requested the Governor to ignore detractors and endeavor to build a befitting Lodge in Lagos state, stating that it will enhance a good relationship with the Lagos State Government.
Interacting with newsmen at the end of the event, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and brand management, Mr Ime Uwah stated that it is the collective responsibility of all well meaning Akwa Ibom sons and daughters at home and in diaspora to ensure the sustainability of the Divine Mandate of the administration of industrialization and political inclusiveness in The State.
Also in attendance at the event were AKISCOM President, Chief Elijah Ifot, Women leader, Mrs. Idongesit Elijah Ifot, youth leader, Comrade Akan Eduoku, Youth Leader Oron Nation, Ulap Chris Ante AKISCOM General Secretary, Engr. Bassey and the special Representative to the Governor - Lagos, Mr Samuel Bassey.
High point of the event was the endorsement of Governor Udom Emmanuel for a second term in office by the the Akwa Ibom State Community, Lagos. (C)
