Sequel to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announcement of the 2019 General Election timetable, The Youths of Abak, Etim Ekpo, Ika Federal Constituency have adopted Mr. Zion Umoh as their Candidate to run for Federal constituency seat come 2019.
The Youths in the three LGAs that makes up the Abak Federal Constituency have decided to make their reasons known to HE Gov. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, The Senate Minority Leader HE Senator Godswill Akpabio CON anytime soon to included in their charter of demand.
Mr Zion Umoh in a telephone interview has called for restraint in lunching attacks on other contenders in the Federal House race, but encourage for attacks on issues. He also called for peace in all quarters while giving the people hope to hold firm their beliefs, for their votes will definitely count. He pleaded with the people to get themselves registered in the ongoing INEC PVC registration which will help them vote the candidate of their choice in the forthcoming General Election.
He thank HE Gov. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for calling for the Local Government Election which has further strengthen the people hope that we're practicing Democracy. He further advised that he doesn't believe in instrumentality of "anointed candidate" that people should go out and vote the candidates of their choice.
