IKONO: NKWOT WARD 6 SURRENDERS TO PDP AS MACAIRE FETES CONSTITUENTS

The ambiance at Nkwot Ward 6 particularly Ikot Obio Ata, village of Hon. AnwangaAbasi Udofia, councillor representing the ward at Ikono Local government council, Saturday 26 January, was claustrophobic as men, women, children and youths from all the 14 villages gathered to rejuvenate their solidarity for the state Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo, Dr Chris Ekpeyong and Asuquo Nana.

On sighting the presence of "Macaire" the PDP flag bearer for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, the already settled throngs of people sang praises to God who has accorded victory for PDP in advance, according to one of the villager who goes by name Emmanuel;

"My brother in this ward APC is not welcome, they don't have anything to offer us, what you see here is celebration of PDP victory because God decided to come to our aide through Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo who will show Ikono people that there is more to representation than just going to Abuja and being called House of Reps member and you have nothing to show the people who gave you the mandate."

Speaking at gathering, the Coordinator of G17 Hon John Asanga who was represented by Hon. Denis assured Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo of the resolve made by the group to support, project, vote, protect and secure the vote of party during and after the  elections.

"All the leaders of this group have individually campaign for the PDP such that the election of Governor Udom Emmanuel, Macaire and Mbakara is now a work over in ward 6, that is why you are seeing this crowd, I am standing here to tell you that the entire ward 6 will deliver PDP, we will support, project, vote, protect and secure the vote of PDP during and after the elections."

Also speaking, a famous youth leader in the ward Mr Isaac Etim pledged to continue supporting and preaching the gospel of PDP to the people, stressing that he will see to it that no vote will be given to  the opposition party in all the units.

Mr Isidore Uba, an elder in the ward charged the electorate to bear in mind that the only party with human sympathy, development plans and growth is the People's Democratic Party, he reminded them of the development strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel since he came into office and why he should be voted for during the forthcoming elections.

Mr Uba went on to remind the people that the philanthropist Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo will augment effective representation which is lacking in Ikono/Ini Federal constituency.

While reacting, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo (Macaire) pleaded with the people to vote massively for Governor Udom Emmanuel, who's tenure has brought back sustainable peace and progress in the state, he seek support for all other PDP aspirants with assurance that his 4 years in office as the  Federal House of Representatives member, Ikono/Ini story will change forever.

In his regularly magnanimity, he donated a brand new motorcycle to one Mr Isidore and a huge sum of money to the people of Ward 6. The beneficiary of the motorcycle couldn't hide his tears of joy, as they continued in celebrating victory in advance for PDP.
