Students Protest Over Exam (photos)

According to reports, this current section was supposed to end last year November, due to the inability of Ondo state government to pay lecturers, the school management decided to go on strike.

Last year's examination was written today with the tag "No School Fees, No Exam", only few students about 20% could afford their school fees while most students about 80% could not.

Some of the students who afford to pay their school fees were allowed to take part in the exam, and the rest of the students who could not afford their fees were denied entrance into the examination hall

The reporter said that minutes later the students who were left out, angrily stormed the the examination hall, stopped students from writting their examination, destroyed school properties such as chairs, tables, sign boards, books, windows etc...

The students held the RUGIPO VC hostage, it took the intervention of soldiers and police who invaded the school premises to calm the students.
As at the time of this report, the school has been shut down and all students asked to go home.
