Engr Don Bassey a front line contender for Nsit Ubium seat in Akwa ibom state House of Assembly, spoke with our reporter on why he should represent Nsit Ubium state constituency

"Yes, it is uncountably that Mr speaker, the Rt Hon Onofiok Luke has has left an unmatched records as a member representing Nsit Ubium state constituency in the Akwa ibom state house of Assembly, he has done very well for himself and the people of Nsit Ubium and Akwa ibom state by extensions.

"My intention to run for the house of Assembly is borne out of passion to serve my people and to bring the experience garnered over time to the service delivery of my people".

"Its on records that, over two decades, i have successfully established and manage my business empires without liquidation with a lot of Akwa ibomites on my payroll so managing the resources that will be accrued to my constituency throughout my stay in the house of Assembly will not be cumbersome for me at all because my antecedent as a business man".

"Service to humanity is one of my strongest assets, over time, I have contributed my own quota in developing my people mostly the younger generation".

"Its worthy to note that, overtime, i purchased jamb form for over 150 students, and has also support quite a number of them that has successfully gained admission into higher institutions".

"As an entrepreneur, i will make sure that i build an entrepreneurial hub in Nsit Ubium, with an incubation centre where youths with an extraordinary business ideologies will be nurtured, mentored and supported to become Ivan campel, Mark Zuckerberg, Dangote and Engr Don Bassey of their time".

Engr. Don Bassey in his statement justified why Ubium North ward 2 should produce the next House of Assembly member, explaining that since Democracy took over power, the ward has never had any sensitive political office holders except the statutory councillors and supervisor, that not even an SA or PA to the successive government has ever come from his extraction. Revealing that it is the reason why he has decided to throw his heart in the race after the people approached and beg him to contest in the forthcoming election.

"After thorough and due consultation with my family, i have made up my mind to heed the call of the elders, youths and women alike to represent them in the Akwa ibom state house of Assembly come 2019", he said.

He then applaud the state Governor on his infrastructural and industrial drive in  the state and tipped him for a second term.
Engr Don Bassey advised political jobbers in the State to desist from fanning disunity among the leaders of the state, stressing that when there is no peace, there can never be development. But when there is peace, development abound

The young entrepreneur who has won himself several Awards ended by soliciting for supports for Governor Udom Emmanuel in 2019 election, to continue in his industrialization drive and development of Akwa ibom state.
