All is now set for the semifinals of this year’s Ati Annang Foundation Inter Secondary Schools Football Competition billed to take place this weekend.
Ati Annang anapex socio cultural organisation of the Annang extraction of Akwa Ibom State.
A release by the secretary of the local organising committee of the competition, Mr. Stephen Stephen said the first semi final match is between Community Secondary School, Ukana East, Essien Udim and Confidence Secondary School, Ikot Ekpene.
The match will hold Saturday January 27 by 3.30pm at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium and shall have the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Sir Monday Ebong Uko as the Special Guest of Honour.
The second semis between Community Secondary School, Ikono Annang in Etim Ekpo and Police Secondary School,Ukana in Essien Udim shall hold next day, Sunday at the same venue by 3.30pm.
The second semifinal match on Sunday will have as Special Guest, Barr. Onofiok Luke the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
The Ati Annang Foundation under the leadership of Sir Udo Kierian Akpan as President and Sir Emem Akpabio as Board of Trustees Chairman, has over the years been involved in several scholarships and youth development programmes among schools in Annangland.
