Earlier this morning, gunmen allegedly attacked the residents of Obong Udo Ekpenyong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Elder Aniekan Akpan, immediate past Commissioner for Education at Ikot Okusung, Ukanafun LGA.
It was gathered by this reporter that sparodic gunshots were hauled at their residents destroying valuables while three lives were reportedly lost in the process.
According to report, one of the Ekpenyong sisters (a Teacher), a barber and a family man were reportedly shot dead during the attack.
As at the time of filling this report, the names of the victims were yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, Men of the Force are currently manning the volatile area to ensure calm. Hence, Urua Affiong Market junction which leads to Ikot Okusung is currently on a siege by security operatives.
