A group of Akwa Ibom state journalists, social media influencers and bloggers embarked on fact findings to know the progress recorded so far in the state during the past and present Government.

On this particular tour, they revealed that Senator Akpabio instead of developing the state was busy stealing from the state and paying Television/radio stations and other media outfits heavily for media hype.

Check the result of the fact they got on getting to the supposed world class hospital that over 41 billion naira was siphoned below;

Our Fact Finding Tour reveals that the Ibom Specialist Hospital was a well conceived idea of Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State...

Our Fact Finding Tour also reveals that the Ibom Specialist Hospital was not 100% Completion as claimed by the Former Governor and Members of the Public, despite the fact that the sum of money budgeted for the alleged construction and equipping of the facility to standard was released by the previous administration (N41Billion), the facility from our assessment is below the earlier announced status.

Our Fact Finding Tour further reveals that the accusations against Gov. Udom Emmanuel on how he locked off The Ibom Specialist Hospital is False....

" This Project was 40% completion as at when it was commissioned" Mr. Osemeke, Project Financial Manager. The new company managing the Hospital.

" It is true that Gov. Udom Emmanuel is paying Billions of Naira on what the previous Government ordered for and they didn't pay." He added.

Our Fact Finding Tour also reveals that the Three storey building Hospital, the only floor completed by Senator Akpabio was only the First Floor not all the Facility as earlier claimed... ( Please see the Attached photos of floor 2,3,4 not completed)

From our observation, the hospital zinc and some part of the roof is seriously linking thereby destroying medical equipments due to low quality of roof used during the Commissioning by the previous .( See the attached photos).

The team learnt that Governor Udom Emmanuel has handed over the Hospital to a new company and there is an assurance from the company to complete the Hospital within 15 months.

Also, the team learnt that the previous management of that hospital didn't remit 10kobo to the State government.

The project is a very commendable drive to solve high pressing ailment in Nigeria and Africa if the facility is adequately fixed.

The team also learnt that Governor Udom Emmanuel has put modalities on ground for the full operation of the facility. For now the hospital is fully functional, courtesy of Gov. Udom Emmanuel and a major operation was successfully carried out recently according to the Project Manager.
