Yesterday, the vice chairman of ikono LGA took an inspection tour to ediene community, ward 10 precisely to inspect the famous Edem Iyere/Ibianang ediene bridge which the inhabitants claimed has taken many lives and several motorcycles.
This is the only access road that connects the two villages ,but during the rainy season,because of the incessant lives lost, they have to take pains by taking a half day journey home through ibiono.
The people expressed happiness over the vice chairman's visit noting that it is only this LG administration that has remembered them.
They however called on the government both federal and state to please come to their rescue to avert further disaster.
