The attention of the leadership of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has been drawn to a publication on the social media today (24/1/2018) by one Torobong Ekpo claiming to be with one Uko Umoh and 40 others at the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. The said publication is as follows :
"2019: O. O. Obu bands Udom from recontesting.
Tips Oro man as PDP flag bearer."
The leadership of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star has nothing whatsoever to do with the said publication. At no time did the leadership or any official of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star expressly or by implication make any of the said statements as reproduced above. The said publication is therefore refuted in its entirety. Brotherhood of the Cross and Star does not wish to be dragged into politics or any partisanship whatsoever.
The public is hereby advised to disregard any publication about the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star which does not emanate from the Office of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star Spokesman duly signed by him. Mischief makers are advised, in their own interest, to desist from using the name of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star or that of its Leader to seek their selfish ends. Please be properly guided.
