Former member representing Eket Federal Constituency and newly appointed Chairman of Cross River Basin Development Authority, Rt. Hon. Eseme Eyiboh has thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his magnanimity in finding him fit for the appointment.
Rt. Hon. Eyiboh bared his mind when he spoke with newsmen on the development. According to Eyiboh, "President Muhammadu Buhari has graciously invested on me the public trust to trigger innovations and jumpstart reforms in Cross River Basin Development Authority through the oversight of its core mandate and supervision of public policy implementation."
The erstwhile spokesperson of the house of representatives added that, in undertaking this assignment as the Chairman of the Authority, he will be open to, what he coined as, treasured advisory, from stakeholders and organisations and will instill ethical integrity and the requirements for effective and transparent corporate governance and attendant core values in the Cross River Basin Development authority.
While insisting that our national institutions need leadership that replicates the integrity demonstrated by President Buhari so as to get the nation on the right path of wholesome development and progress, Rt. Hon. Eyiboh vowed to make accountable leadership and responsibility his watchword.
His words, "I shall be guided by our collective respect for self discipline, responsible and accountable leadership. I promise to assume this responsibility with my name and end my tour of duty with commendations and honour."
He sued for prayers and support from people of goodwill to enable him succeed in his new assignment and charged Nigerians from all walks of life to continue supporting the Buhari administration so that Nigeria can be made great again.
