Constituents of Oron/Udung Uko State Constituency To Witness Mega Constituency Briefing Soon - Hon. Effiong Bassey

Arrangements have been concluded for the Constituency briefing by the member representing Oron/Udung UKO in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon Effiong Bassey.
The event which is slated to hold in the first quarter of 2018 is in keeping with his electioneering promises to his constituents. Speaking with newsmen, the Assemblyman said that the event will afford him the opportunity to comprehensively notify his people of his roles, experience, challenges and achievements as a legislator, and also render an account of his stewardship.
According to Hon. Bassey, although a specific date for the ceremony is yet to be slated by the planners, the date shall not be later than the first quarter of the year 2018.

"Hopefully, we will hold the briefing within the month of March this year, but we cannot delay the event into the second quarter of the year".

Answering question on what should be the expectations of the public at the ceremony, Hon. Bassey who is also the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the sixth Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly said he has recently been working round the clock to ensure a massive and all-inclusive outing, adding that a scheme for the empowerment of students, artisans, traders and constituents who belong in other categories shall be implemented, with cash and gift items to be dolled out to deserving beneficiaries.
This according the legislator was geared towards improving the living standard of his constituents, thereby raising the bar of legislative representation in Oron/Udung Uko State Constituency.
