The son of President Muhammadu Buhari has been discharged from Cedacrest Hospital.
Yusuf Buhari was discharged from the hospital on Friday, January 12, Cedacrest Hospital said in an official statement.
The hospital said Yusuf was placed in its intensive care unit after an initial stabilization following injuries sustained as a rider in a motorcycle accident.
The hospital added that Yusuf’s condition remarkably improved after a surgery was carried out by a team of neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons before he was transferred from the ICU to the ward.
The statement said Yusuf had remained stable since his admission into the hospital on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
The hospital also said the president’s son is ready to be discharged from the facility.
But confirming the release, a personal assistant to the president on new media, Bashir Ahmed told NAIJ.com that Yusuf is already out of the hospital.
Ahmed said: “He is out of the hospital, the statement by the hospital was released in the early hours of the morning today.”
