To all the security agencies in Ikono Local government area, 13th November 2017, will always be a day to remember, as the prayers they offered to God to be incorporated into security operations and be assigned offices twelve years ago was answered today through the visionary, hardworking and dedicated Transition Committee Chairman of Ikono Local Government Area, Barr. Ekemini Uba.
Barr. Ekemini, who is christened the "caring chairman", saw the need to assign offices to the security agencies, as it will help them to work with men of the Nigerian Police Force other security agencies in curbing the rural security concerns in Ikono, the council boss assigned offices to the following security groups: Nigerian Peace Corps, Absolute Security, WAI Bridget and Vigilante.
After issuing out certificates to the various security groups, the chairman charged them to collaborate with Men of the Nigerian Police and other security organisations in discharging their obligations.
In a thank you remark, Major Usoroh Ndifreke, the commander of the Peace Corps in Ikono, who spoke on behalf of all the security groups, thanked the chairman for coming to their aid, he promised to see that the security agencies will always execute their duties diligently and in accordance with the Laws of the land.
